Local Resort’s Top Restaurant Rebrands with New All-American Menu, Partners with Local Creamery
Dec. 13, 2013 – MIDWAY, UT – Today, Homestead Resort’s historic Simon’s Restaurant is launching a new menu that brings back very traditional American family favorite dishes and are partnering with the Heber Valley Creamery for many of their ingredients.
“In our continual effort to provide the best offerings, this new menu selection reflects the traditional American brand that partners perfectly with the Homestead Resort,” said Joey Pesner, executive chef/director of food and beverage at Simon’s Restaurant. “We feel this dynamic update restores many classic recipes our guests love, including our unique Simon’s Family Dinner, which serves fried chicken, beef pot roast, salad, buttered mashed potatoes, vegetables and apple donuts for 4-6 people.”
Highlighting the new menu are classic American dishes, including the turkey pot pie, country fried steak from scratch and the beef and noodles, all prepared with local ingredients. Simon’s Restaurant was named after the Homestead Resort founder Simon Schneitter, and the new menu is consistent with the ‘welcome home’ feeling of the Homestead Resort.
“Another fundamental belief we value is supporting local businesses and we feel this partnership with the Heber Valley Creamery is extremely beneficial for both parties,” Pesner said.
